Below is a suggested list should you wish to make a complete medical/first aid kit. Our kids went the minimalist route with band aids, antibiotic ointment, and ibuprofen/acetaminophen. A full-service pharmacy is located on West Campus should students not have the items they need. Students will be given a thermometer when they check in.

Dorm Medical/First Aid Kit – Buy a plastic box with a lid and a handle. Go to Target, CVS, Wal-Mart or equivalent. Buy everything they might need. Suggestions: Tylenol, Midol, Advil, Aleve, Neosporin, Tums, Band-Aids, Nyquil, Benadryl, Oscillococcinum, Robitussin, Afrin Spray, Hydro-Cortisone cream, Bug Spray, Benadryl Spray or Gel, Chapstick, Eye Drops.

After you get it all, go through it with your student and have the student write down on a pad what each item is for and how much to take. That way they do not have questions.
